In the midst of the chaos and uncertainty due to this worldwide pandemic that we are presently dealing with, it would be quite easy to succumb to fear and worry. It’s times like this that we truly need to look up and seek God with all of our hearts! You can choose to have a positive outlook, but the truth is that without Him we have no hope especially when the media keeps presenting us with such dismal statistics and the stay-at-home order has been extended for at least another month. Many speculations and theories abound regarding the corona virus, but only God knows the truth.
Resting in the fact that God is still in control and surrendering any panic-filled thoughts to Him in prayer are two good things for you to do to start with. Another thing that I deeply encourage all of you to do is to begin reading God’s Word, the Bible, if you are not already doing so. Start in the Gospel of John, and then consider reading Romans, Ephesians, Galatians, 1, 2, and 3 John, and allow God’s Holy Spirit to open your eyes to see the truly good news of the Biblical gospel! The truth of God’s Word will not only give you a proper perspective of His love, power, holiness, justice, mercy, and grace, but also God’s Word will show you the truth about ourselves; we are sinners separated from a completely holy God and in need of a Savior and have no hope of ever being accepted or forgiven by God unless we accept the one and only way that He has provided for us which is to come to Him only through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, God, the second Person in the Trinity, who willingly came into our sin-filled world, wrapped in human flesh to live the perfect, sinless life that we could never live so that He would be the Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world.
Jesus Christ willingly went to the cross and took upon Himself the full wrath of God that was intended for us because of our sins and died in our place right after He victoriously cried out, “It is finished!” (John 19:30) God the Father accepted all that Jesus Christ did by His “once for all” sacrifice to satisfy His wrath and the just demands for sin and showed us this by raising Jesus from the dead and removing the barrier that separated us from Him, but we must each choose to believe this and to receive this truth and trust in Jesus Christ alone in order to be forgiven and to become His child. (Please read John 14:6, Acts 4:8-12, 1 Timothy 2:5,6, John 10:18, Matthew 27:50-53, Luke 23:44-46, Romans 1:16-20, Romans 4:25, Romans 8:32-39, 1 Corinthians 15:1-22, Galatians 2:21, Ephesians 2:8-10, Colossians 2:8-15, Hebrews 1:1-14, Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 10:1-18, 1 John 4:9,10, 1 John 5:9-13, John 1:12, John 3:36).
As the saying goes, “One picture is worth a thousand words.” The picture below presents the Biblical gospel to you along with some Scriptures that will clearly reveal God’s truth to you regarding our sinfulness and the only way that He has provided for us to receive complete forgiveness, true peace, lasting joy in the midst of trials and heartache, and His strength and grace to see us through no matter what we face in life:
And now I would like to share my latest collection of photos with you. Although at first glance these flowers may appear to look like peonies to some of you, they are actually tiny little carnations! I was never really partial to carnations, but as I began taking these macro shots of them I saw their beauty that I had never seen before! I hope you enjoy looking at my photos and I pray that you will be encouraged as you read the Scriptures that I chose to add to them.
Thank you very much for stopping by today.
God Bless You
